Actually, it's A Time to Harvest, where Janeway says they had one date..Though there is a reference to their Academy days in Hate too. Looks like in Mosaic Janeway was more interested in keeping her distance from him... This is all from searching Google Books.

That's weird, I literally just read A Time to Harvest a month or so ago and don't remember the Janeway scene at all from it. Maybe I combined it in my head with the scene in A Time to Hate. Not doubting Google Books, just weird how memory works!

Memory can be wierd... and both harvest and hate start with 'ha' so that probably didn't help..

I was just checking "Quarantine" and Geordi LaForge shows up on page 1 (and Janeway and La Forge seem to be friends...not romantic, but just friends). But Geordi does mention that he is heading off with the Academy Band (Crossfire which featured Riker). But I'm pretty sure that Riker appears some way, since I remember a scene at the Academy where Janeway had just managed to do something on a mission that was spreading through the Academy and Riker approached her in the lunch line. It was a quick cameo.
