Early Night Terrors (no spoilers)

Dragon*Con's British programming track has announced that they've partnered with BBC America and the local cable outfit (Comcast?) to be able to show next Saturday's episode a full two hours early, at 7 pm Eastern.

For those who will be at D*C (in Atlanta, next weekend), it'll be at the Sheraton, in the Grand Ballroom ... And who will be in the audience with us as we watch this episode early? Why, none other than one of the Doctors - Sylvester McCoy!

Nuts..... one more reason to be envious of those able to go this year.

Yeah, and then they had to go and add something to the schedule. The ONE "official" Babylon 5 panel of the entire convention is on at the same time as this episode.

So, we'll see who wins ... If Jan finds me first, it'll be Babylon 5. If Janet finds me, it'll be Doctor Who.

Dude, its new Doctor Who. Its new Doctor Who early. Its new Doctor Who early with an old Doctor Who in attendance!

How can ya not go to it?!

^ Indeed.

And I'd don't know what I'd be paying more attention to, the episode, or watching McCoy's reaction to it.

Wow, watching an episode with a room full of fellow fans. That would be a dream come true.

I'm going to guess it'll be something like: "Damn, why couldn't I get stories like that?" :)

Nah, he had some great serials during the original run and even more so with Big Finish.

I'll disown you, Omaha, if you don't go to this. McCoy is a childhood favorite and I would LOVE to be there (but alas, I'm stuck on the wrong side of the other large pond). Babylon 5 is so last century while Doctor Who is NOW!

Of course if it were Colin not McCoy I don't believe Omaha would even need to think about it ;)

That's true.

And the room was the biggest ballroom in the Sheraton. BBC America gave out raffle prize tickets to 1,400 people before then ran out. They completely underestimated the popularity of Doctor Who ... People were coming in and sitting on the floor in the aisles, standing at the back of the room, in some cases there were two people sharing a chair.

All this for some silly kids' show.

Oh, me? That's right. Front row, baby. (and not one of the seats with a speaker blocking the entire view)

Back to the con now. :)
