Continuous updates (videos!) in the link above.

Several new trailers already posted -

Quick thoughts:

Fallout 3 - can't WAIT

Dead Space - looks like a playable "Event Horizon". We've already had one shitty 3rd person, gloomy, overly post-processed corridor crawler this year in Dark Sector.

End War - voice controlled? Really? If it's not utterly broken I'll be absolutely shocked.

Fallout 3 :drool::drool::drool::drool:

I hope we'll be getting some more Fable 2 news. I swear, anticipation for those two is keeping me going this year.

I'm marginally looking forward to see new stuff from Halo Wars, which I've yet to be convinced about (I hate RTS games on consoles, I much prefer mouse/keyboard for those games ... ).

It's also been rumored that Bungie will announce its next project ...

Dark Sector was ok, not brilliant but ok for a rental. I saw a demo of a developer playing endwar on bravo's gamer show, it looked like it worked ok but they could of fudged it in the editing to cover up any mistakes. RSV6-2 had voice orders but they didn't work 100%

I can't wait to get home tonight. My wife has made soup.

But, watching this will be the second highlight of my evening.

THAT AND ANGRY SEX AMIRITE

****BRRRRRRRRRRRRRRPPPPT*****

Damn, Microsoft ripped off everyone under the sun with their coverflow/Mii homage and still managed to pull out a few surprises. :techman:

New Dashboard: Looks nice. If it's easy to use and makes the dash feel less sluggish, I'm all for it. The old one is getting a bit cluttered.

Mii ripoffs: Um, hell no. Hopefully these are optional and we can continue using plain old gamerpics. I'd create one for use in the proposed Xbox Live Party games but don't see myself playing dressup with it like some might.

Related to the first two: Looks like everyone who's purchased a background theme and possibly gamerpics is SOL. Fortunately all my favorite ones were free courtesy of the Mass Effect Limtied Edition pack.

Netflix on 360: I assume this will only be the movies currently available on Netflix's ondemand feature, although I'm not sure if some of the movies in Joystiq's sample pic are included. If they manage to get some newer movies up there, that'd be sweet. If not and it's still free, it will be one less device under the TV (no need to buy the Roku box).

Fallout 3: Oh. Hell. Yes.

EDIT: Microsoft just dropped their megaton: FFXIII on 360.

I hate Mii style avatars and hate second life and its Home clone, all seems so pointless

Couldn't believe when they announced FFX13 for the 360, and some said it will NEVER happen

Eh, seems to be the way things are going, I can live with it, even though I couldn't give a shit about all this "online space" and "Sharing with the community" stuff they all keep spouting.

But sharing your online space with the community is what Web 2.0 is all about!!! :guffaw:

I'm utterly shocked NO ONE leaked the FFXIII on 360 thing beforehand. Unless it was a very last-minute deal, that's practically unheard-of in the internet age.

I figure it must have been kept very quiet, it seems they didn't have the video set up so it could be shown on the webstream, so was probably kept out of rehearsals etc.

I wish they would hurry up and get some TV VOD deals done for the UK. We have 90 movies on the video marketplace, and no TV at all. With them all so keen to get video on demand set to go as soon as it's broadcast in the US, and start making money off the crowd who torrent everything, I'm surprise there hasn't been big movement there.

yeah I know, :( all this sharing pics stuff, i hope gary glitter is banned from Live before can sign up

It's the original Portal, just downloadable and with new challenge levels.
FF13 is the megaton. That's pretty insane.

Also, Rock Band songs will be able to be copied into Rock Band 2 for a fee... which is nice.

A few more goodies for Xbox 360 owners.

Here is a look at some additional features you will find interesting:
  • Play from hard drive. Copy your games from the game disc and play directly from the hard drive. Not only will the drive not spin, but load times are quicker, as well. Of course, you will still need the disc in the tray to prove you own the game.
  • Access Xbox LIVE Marketplace on the Web. Browse and purchase Marketplace content whenever you want from Xbox.com and it downloads automatically to your console. Purchase that new map, television episode, the latest Xbox LIVE Arcade game or set up a movie to watch when you get home from work.
  • Dashboard built into the new Xbox Guide. For everyone who loves the blades interface, it’s not going away; they are now built directly in to the new Xbox guide. Every feature and option is available right from the guide. You can even access your full games library at all times. No matter where you are (in dash or in game), immediately call up your games played list and directly launch a game.
  • LIVE Party system. Create a party of up to eight friends, and stay with them from one game to another, or watch a Netflix movie together, or share a slideshow of your personal photos. It works with all Xbox 360 titles, not just upcoming games. LIVE Party allows up to eight people to chat in the dashboard, so you can meet up before playing.
  • Xbox LIVE Primetime. This whole new category of games is going to give you more reasons to get online with your friends. Games will support everything you’d expect, like Achievements and leader boards, but many of these games will include real prizes. You can invite your friends, and even set a reminder for an upcoming show. Each game is broadcast simultaneously, so everyone is answering the same questions. Many events will have a live host, calling the shots as they happen.
  • Avatars. Your online identity started as a Gamertag - it then grew into a personalized Gamercard. Now, it has evolved even further into avatars. You can express your style, check out new outfits and share this with the community. Avatars will also be integrated into Xbox LIVE Arcade games, LIVE Party, as well as retail games.
  • New display support. Because you asked for it, we are adding 16X10 over VGA or HDMI, and support for 1440x900 or 1680x1050.
Shiny. :D

The HDD install thing sounds interesting, and would greatly reduce the "my 360 sounds like a freaking jumbo jet taking off" comments. Considering I normally play 1-2 disc games at a time, I have no problem with this even on my puny 13GB HDD. I just hope it works like it's advertised.

Wow, if they're doing installs it looks like I have to buy that 60GB drive. Ugh, I hope it has the transfer cable in the box.

Also, there's already a petition demanding that SE makes FF13 PS3 exclusive! :p

Oh DAMN! 16:10 support! I just noticed that... FINALLY.
