E-Cigarettes: What Do You Think?

If they potentially affect bystanders--something which should be investigated, since it apparently hasn't been--they should be regulated like cigarettes. If I don't want to inhale your cigarette smoke I sure don't want to be inhaling your nicotine vapor, either.

But maybe this is what tobacco companies want: to silently addict millions of people thanks to those who are exhaling nicotine vapor. All of a sudden, more people will be craving cigarettes. :shifty:

They don’t emit smoke, they don’t stink and they don’t make you cough. But some localities are subjecting them to the same restrictions as real tobacco cigarettes. What do you think? Should so-called "e-cigs” be regulated like tobacco?

They have nicotine, so I would say yes, they should.

These things aren't any safer *for the smoker* than regular cigarettes, are they?
Nicotine's not the problem with cigarettes, it's tobacco and all the additives. Of course, they should be regulated because kids don't need to be getting addicted to nicotine anyway. But I would certainly say they're safer than cigarettes.

The vapor produced by these cigarettes is so minimal by the time you blow it out it has dissipated. You are more likely to be harmed from the exhaust from automobiles.

And, of course, it should be regulated just as any other substance is from minors, that's a no brainer.
