DVDs for sale?

Ok, I clicked in here because I thought that spam thread of the same name might have some useful information for me. It sounded like the problem I've been wrestling with at work today.

I have a small video production company. I have been putting some of my DVDs up for sale. I use paypal buttons and it's kind of a pain in the ass, especially since only two or three people per event will by the event DVD via the website. Still, I hate to lose those two or three sales.

Anybody have any suggestions for an easier way to handle selling very small quantities of stuff on a web page?

It may be a pain, but paypal is the big giant elephant right now. Unless you can afford to go all the way to accepting credit cards directly (with all the charges and hassle that entails), it's pretty much that, since you want them to order online. You could also accept money orders/checks through the mail, but you might want a PO Box or business address for those.

If you have a smaller site, I'd say people will probably be most comfortable with PayPal rather than some proprietary CC software you set up.

If paypal is really a problem, you might try Google Checkout.

Or postal money orders if you live within walking/short driving distance of a Post Office. They are free to cash.
