DVD Release of UK's Merlin...

Does anyone know if Merlin is going to be released on DVD in the United States? I am guessing it isn't since NBC bought the television rights and was supposed to air it this winter, but never did. Grrrr.... NBC!

According to Tony Head's web site NBC have it scheduled to air in June.

'Merlin' is currently scheduled to begin airing on NBC (USA) on Sunday, June 21st, 2009, with a two-hour premiere airing 8.00pm -10.00pm EST. The drama series will also air from 8.00pm -10.00 pm on June 28th, 2009. Single episodes will then air from Sunday, July 5th, 2009 from 8.00pm - 9.00 pm EST. Check your local listings.​

Cool. I've only watched the first episode but I liked it. I'm just waiting for my wife to watch the first episode as well so we can decide whether we're going to watch it together or not.

As others have noted, NBC will air Merlin in June. I would assume BBC will sell Merlin DVDs in the US after NBC airs Merlin. The same way they sell Doctor Who, Torchwood, and Robin Hood DVDs.
