Anyone else with a weakness for cricket here? It wasn't enough that Afghanistan ( http://www.cricinfo.com/afghanistan/content/current/team/40.html ) went from the regional comp to get within a game of qualifying for the world cup in a little over a year; now the Netherlands have rocked hosts England in the opening game of the T20 ( http://www.cricinfo.com/wt202009/content/current/story/407598.html )

The beauty of 20/20 is that the game allows more upsets but still this is a total joke from England and I have to say Stuart Broad for a bowler has shit accuracy and basically paniced in that last over and especially the last ball. I was in total disbelief how high our bowlers were bowling, they were just begging to be smacked all over the place.

We all make mistakes. It was a breathtaking match to watch, though, & i've seen some major white flag raisings in my time. The English completely disrespected the Dutch & threw away a great start with mad, bad & totally distracted play; but take nothing away from the Netherlands - they came in with a plan & stuck to it & got the reward they deserved

At least the Kiwis are currently protected from their own humiliation (see

You had to ask where the captain was?; & beyond him, what was the coach doing? If they bowling badly, why weren't they yanked?; & if they were bowling to a plan, what son of a bankrupt ferengi came up with the plan?

I hope the Pakistani cricketers realise that - for the first time in an awful long time - the whole world of cricket will be cheering for them on Sunday. If they win, England really loses

Well, a Seven7 is a bit of a joke. At least Ireland has qualified for the next round. Even better - .au has been knocked out. Maybe this will teach the Bobby Simpsons in our selection panel that you can't play a test team in a T20 & hope to beat a specialist side (especially with third rate quicks like Brett Lee pretending to be strike bowlers)
