Duplicating Voyager

Duplicating Voyager

It was done in Deadlock with the spatial schism. That ended with the Vidiians discovering the unharmed Voyager and being destroyed when that Voyager self destructed. No long term effect on the DQ...

It was done in Demon/Course: Oblivion with the Biomimetic substance copying the crew and then the ship. This ended when the ship and crew reverted to the substance, which then dispersed in interstellar space. They had had a separate journey to the real Voyager which would have unknown effects down the track for the Federation.

It was sort of done in Live Long and Prosper with the aliens who pretended to be Janeway, Chakotay and Tuvok, they called their ship the Delta Flyer and ran a con operation by promising people 'membership' in the Federation. This ended when Captain Janeway found out about the scam and took down the pretenders. Many people were conned by the con artists, which would aslo have a long term effect.

So how else could Voyager, its crew (or members therof) and/or shuttles be 'duplicated' and what effect could this have on the Delta Quadrant
Would the 'Duplicates' be journeying towards the Federation too? What happens if or when they get there.

Possible ways of Duplication.
More subspace schisms: After Deadlock Voyager and the biomimetic Voyager would know to avoid these. The Live Long and Prosper con artists wouldn't know though.

More Demon incidents: After Demon Voyager and the biomimetic Voyager would have no reason to come into contact with the biogel, or they will be more careful... Even if this does happen the new-biomimetic Voyager (or biomimetic biomimetic Voyager) will most likely suffer the Course: Oblivion fate, though certainly not without leaving a mark.
There is probably no reason why the Live Long and Prosper con artists would go to a demon class planet. It is still possible, but very unlikely.

More con artists: This is possible, and possibly have the largest effect. It is possible that the con artists decide to pretend to be Voyager crew just before Voyager makes one of its big jumps. They could then operate long term...
They would have no reason to go to the Federation though.]

Holographic duplicates.
Someone creates an upscaled mobile emitter with its own warp engines that looks like a shuttle. This then projects a Voyager simulation and appears to be an ordinary shuttle in the shuttlebay. The simulated crew believe they are the real crew and that their Voyager is the real Voyager. It even has a copy of the EMH, and its own holodecks with copies of the programs. The Emitter is capable of long range projection so the crew can beam down to planets. There is an atmosphere on board so that if real people come aboard, they can breathe.
But why would someone do this, what is this person or organisation's motive? And who would have the technology to do this convincingly? Could it be done in secret? These questions apply to the copying of the real Voyager, to the copying of the biomimetic Voyager and to the copying of the the Live Long and Prosper con artists.
Assuming that it can be done. Would the holoVoyager crew find out about their true nature at some point? What happens then?
The holocopy would have its own effect on the DQ and could potentially arrive at the Federation at some point in the future.

Duplicating the holocopy:
Depending on when this happened the holoVoyager could run into a subspace schism, which would produce another holoVoyager. This too would have its own effect on the DQ and could potentially arrive at the Federation.

Even if the holoVoyager had to go to a demon class planet there is probably no way that biomimetic gel could come into contact with the emitter. (Even if there is, the biomimetic holoVoyager would suffer the Course: Oblivion fate as well)

There definitely can be con artists pretending to be holoVoyager crew members.

Holocopying the Holocopy is possible but the same questions apply.

Lost crewmembers
This is possible. Voyager thinks they are dead and leaves them behind. After they recover they head towards the Federation on their own. If they are engineers they may build their own shuttle... They may catch up to Voyager, or they may not. They would have their own effect on the DQ and may eventually arrive at the Federation if they are lucky.

The lost crewmember can go through a subspace schism...

There is no reason why a lost crewmember would land on a demon class planet...

Holocopying a lost crewmember is possible, though the same questions would apply.

And a group of lost crewmembers can get separated.

A crewmember lost from the biomimetic Voyager would be in trouble, and could die from breathing the wrong atmosphere. They will also suffer the Course: Oblivion fate.

Con artist crew members can be lost. Would they change their ways and go home or would they continue conning.

Crewmembers cannot be lost from a holoVoyager, once the emitter is out of range the crewmember would cease to exist.

Crashed shuttles.
Similar to The Muse. Someone is inspired by the logs in the shuttle computer and is able to repair the shuttle following the instructions of the computer. They look up the Federation and decide to run away to there. They fly off into the distance... They may or may not pick up others on the way. These others or the original person may get lost. This scenario will also have an effect on the DQ and they may potentially arrive at the Federation.

They may go through a subspace schism...

There is no reason why they would land on a demon class planet.

Con artists can pretend to be crew members of this shuttle...

Holocopying is again possible, but the questions still apply...

Lost crewmembers who survive may continue to the Federation on their own...

A crashed shuttle from the biomimetic Voyager would be repairable, and the scenario is possible. But the shuttle may eventually suffer the Course: Oblivion fate and leave the crewmembers without a means of transport, or worse; they would be exposed to the vacuum of space...

A crashed shuttle from a holoVoyager would also cease to exist...

People inspired to build their own Voyager.
A group are inspired and build their own Voyager, after they encounter the real one (or the biomimetic, it doesn't matter). They build their Voyager and head off towards the Federation. They would have their own effect on the DQ and may potentially arrive at their destination.

They may go through a subspace schism.

They might land on a demon class planet and be exposed to biomimetic stuff. Hence: the biomimetic fake Voyager would have its own effect on the DQ but will eventually suffer the C:O fate.

Con artists would pretend to be members of this Voyager...

Holocopying is possible. The same questions still apply.

Lost crewmembers may survive and continue to the Federation on their own.

Their shuttles may be crashed, and they may contain enough information to inspire others to journey to the Federation in the shuttle.

Strangely, people could be inspired by con artists to build their own Voyager...

A holoVoyager could inspire people to build their own Voyager.

Lost Voyager crewmembers could be inspiration to others to build their own Voyager.

People travelling in a crashed Voyager shuttle can also be inspiration.

A Temporal Copy.
A Voyager from an alternate future arrives in the present, changes the timeline and is then stuck in that time.

May pass through a subspace schism if the divergence in the timeline is prior to Deadlock.

May land on a demon class planet and come into contact with biomimetic organisms the divergence in the timeline is prior to Demon. Result is as above.

Con artists also apply.

Holocopying with the same reservations as above.

Crewmembers can be lost, survive and continue on their own.

Crashed shuttles can still be inspirational as above.

An alternate future version of the Temporal Copy can still come back in time.

A Temporal Copy of the biomimetic Voyager arrives in the present, changes the timeline and is stuck in that time. It will still suffer the C:O fate.

Can apply to any con artists.

Can also apply to any holocopies

Alternate future version of a lost crewmember arrives in the present, changes the timeline and is stuck in that time...

Alternate future version of crewmembers of a formerly crashed shuttle arrive in the present, change the timeline and are stuck in that time.

Also applies to inspired fake Voyagers.

An Alternate Voyager
A Voyager from a parallel universe crosses over into the main Trekverse and is stuck there. They will have their own effect on the DQ and may eventually arrive at the Federation. They may eventually find a way to return to their own universe (or alternatively, to enter a Sliders scenario)
All above scenarios can then apply to duplicate it, including a Temporal Copy.

A biomimetic Voyager from a parallel universe crosses over into the main Trekverse and is stuck there. Is most likely to suffer the Course: Oblivion fate.

Voyager crewmember copying con artists from a parallel universe cross over into the main Trekverse and are stuck there.

A holoVoyager from a parallel universe crosses over into the main Trekverse and is stuck there.

A lost Voyager crewmember from a parallel universe crosses over into the main Trekverse and is stuck there.

Crewmembers of a formerly crashed Voyager shuttle from a parallel universe cross over into the main Trekverse and are stuck there.

A Voyager built by people inspired by their universe's real Voyager crosses over into the main Trekverse and is stuck there.

A Voyager that had travelled back in time, changed the timeline and got stuck crosses over into the main Trekverse and is stuck there.

Kes creates her own Voyager.
This Voyager will have its own effect on the DQ and may eventually arrive at the Federation.
All the above scenarios may then apply to duplicate it, including a Temporal Copy and a Voyager created by an alternate Kes.
