I've not read the previous comments (although I'm sure they are more articulate them my own) but I found 'The Collectors' to be one of the most intelligent story I've read. The time lock effect was expertly portrayed by showing the impact the lock had on those outside (the ever increasing disparity of the time between Eris and the outside universe was genius) and the use (and impact under the lock) of the phase discriminators was just so cleverly written that it couldn't be faulted.

It did wonder whether the last sentence of "A lot can happen ninety minutes" was the first idea that generated the story or just a happy result because it was such a great ender.

Nonetheless, what an incredible read!

Now awaiting the next DTI story.

Thanks so much!

The latter.

Per TrekBBS I have to make 14 posts to be a newbie and this is my 14th post and so decided to use to to ask this.

Christopher, I love your comments on Krad's rewatched of the Star Trek DS9 which I'm currently reading (I actually skip through other comments first to get to yours) - have you considered / already have your own page on reviewing ST episodes using your scientific viewpoint? I think I would pay to read that.

I don't have any such thing for Trek, though I've got a bunch of TV and movie reviews on my blog. I've been thinking of trying to find some website I could do a column for, but I have other priorities for now.
