"The Laurel”: The first graduating class of a Bajoran university post-occupation wishes to bestow upon Sisko an honorary degree, and sends a persuasive female recruiter to offer Jake a scholarship to attend the school. However, they learn some unsavory details about why the school managed to survive the occupation relatively unscathed. Meanwhile, O'Brien is allergic to a plant Keiko is studying and takes Molly on a daddy-daughter camping trip in a holosuite.

In the parallel universe, the Cardassians rebel against the brutal Bajoran Attendant in an attempt to free Cardassia from the brutal ruler.
In retaliation, the Attendant destroys the city where the rebellion takes place.

In our universe, Benjamin begins negotiating with the Cardassians begin to consider paying compensation for the Bajoran occupation.

“Denial of Services”: Deep Space 9 is set to host the funeral of a Cardassian officer who disobeyed orders to save lives, after his controversial execution, with Sisko to officiate. Both Starfleet and Cardassia pressure him not to honor the man. Meanwhile, Odo and O'Brien investigate when the station's computers are taken offline, and everybody is communicating and researching the old fashioned way.

When Ben and Dax crash land on a barren world, they die and Sisko finds himself in front of the Prophets. He begs the Prophets to restore him, and they agree. But they will not restore Dax.
Sisko must plead with them to restore her.

Meanwhile on the station OBrien must deal with someone he graduated with, (a non-com) who resents O’Briens high rank.

“The Long Way Around”: While returning from transporting medical supplies to Aurncha, Bashir becomes very ill, requiring O'Brien to divide his time between flying a shuttle around a deadly storm and caring for the doctor, trying to keep him stable and hoping time doesn't run out. Meanwhile, Nog and Jake disagree about whether the better way to get something you want is to just come out and ask, or pull the right strings one at a time.

"The Watchman's Creed"
A mysterious vedek appears and stands on vigil, looking out the window at where the wormhole is. Rumors start to circulate around the station about who he was. None of the other vedeks recognized him. Strange things begin to happen around the stations and they start to question if the mysterious vedek had anything to do with it.

Meanwhile, Odo is struck unconscious by an energy beam after visiting an ancient world in the Gamma Quadrant after archeologists found murals of what looked to be changelings.

Amor vincit omnia
Garak reunites with an old friend who is also from his Obsidian Order days. He attempts to get him to defect from the Cardassian-Dominion alliance and to help the Federation in the war effort. He fails to turn his friend and is forced to kill him ending the episode on a somber note.

"Spanish Fly": Quark acquires some love crystals, which causes havoc at a diplomatic meeting on DS9 when the ambassadors suddenly express their desire to get married, instead of negotiating the deal they were sent for. Far from leading to diplomatic bliss, each is seen as a traitor by their own side, leading to a firefight that tests the station's integrity and security. Meanwhile, Keiko O'Brien oversees the pollination of a rare plant by a shipment of insects which goes missing, so Nog offers to locate it before it can become lunch.

“A Little Leaven”

When five ships containing refugees from the gamma quadrant come through the wormhole, they are welcomed, and take up residence on Deep Space Nine.
When one of the new arrivals sends a message back to the Gamma Quadrant, suddenly ten more ships come through looking to start a new life.
Then ten more ships. Then ten more. Then ten more.
Before they know it, there are fifty ships waiting to dock, with more on their way.
Sisko knows DS9 already has more refugees than the station can handle.
First he contacted Bajor to see if they can take a few of the refugees. Then he contacts Star Fleet, and asks for help/advice.
Shortly after, the U.S.S. Panel Chekhov arrives, to guide some of the refugees back to earth.
Then the U.S.S. Uhura and the U.S.S. Tracey arrive to escort more of their ships to other Federation worlds

On the station, Odo is overwhelmed by the influx of new arrivals, and is forced to Deputized Quark, Rom, and Nog

"The Lost Treasure"

A strange alien from the Gamma Quadrantwalks into Quark's bar and overhears O'Brien and MIles's latest discussion about the Alamo. Afte rthe alien claims Davy Crockett was actually saved by an alien who was at Alamo and taken to the Gamma Quadrant, O'Brien and Bashir sets off on a treasure hunt in the Gamma Quadrant.

Reditus Custodes

When three Klingon ships come through the wormhole, Sisko is curious, since no Klingon ships have gone through the wormhole in a long time.
When the Klingons dock at the station and they are shocked to find out the station is no longer run by Cardassians.
Sisko decides to go meet them, and asks Miles and Julian to join him. He also asks Odo to join them.
When they meet, the Klingons’ immediately claim the station for the empire.
Sisko points out that the station is owned by the Bajorans, and is being run by Star Fleet by Bajors’ request.
While Sisko is talking to the Klingons, Julian is surreptitiously taking scans on the new arrivals.
He immediately asks the Klingons come to the infirmary for some tests.
Julian realizes that the Klingons are one hundred and fifty years old, despite their apparent youth.
When Ben asks Dax to scan the ships, they confirm the timeline.
They find out that one hundred and fifty years ago, a Klingon group was sent to find the Sword of Kah’less to prepare for his return.

When an agricultural crisis strikes a famine-stricken province, Bajor reaches out to the Federation for help in rehabilitating the soil. Tensions rise when the area turns out to be the site of a former Cardassian labor camp now inhabited by a religious sect who reject outside technology and believe that healing can only occur through working the soil via manual labor. The situation becomes dangerous when O'Brien discovers leftover Cardassian ordinance in the area will detonate right before the Federation begins irradiating the area with terraforming energy pulses.

What Fools these Mortals be

Extra-dimensional beings decide to run an experiment on Humans, trying to understand the emotion of Love.
They are only revealed when O’Brien detects the energy the beings give off which is making some of the crew sick.
The beings reveal themselves, and apologize.
The effect was not intentional. They take their data and leave the station before they do any more harm.

Both Jake and Bashir fall in love with the same Alterian woman.

“Knowledge and Wisdom”: While studying a rare species of cave lichen on Bajor, Keiko stumbles upon a copy of an ancient lost prophetic Bajoran text that has been the subject of much searching and speculation. It's determined to likely be the genuine article. The only problem is, it seems to actively encourage submission to the Cardassians. Sisko must wrestle with whether to release the text, come what may, to scholars to interpret, or destroy it so it cannot be abused. Meanwhile, Garak and Bashir discuss tact vs bluntness when dealing with customers/patients.
