Someone describe some good DS9 drinking games to play.

OK, of course I'll take a shot every time Quark talks about gold-pressed latinum, Dax refers to her previous host(s), and Bashir hits on Dax...

But I want more creative ideas.

    Give me some!

    Take a shot each time:

Odo folds his arms and goes 'hrrrmmmm'

Everytime someone refers to Sisko as the Emissary

Whenever Dukat does or says something creepy

    Rom says 'Brooother'

Each time the wormhole is shown to open

Miles says 'Commander' (happens more than you would think)

    Worf mentions honor

You will be wasted pretty quickly.

    Take a shot when...

Kira tells someone how things were done in the Resistance.
---Two shots if the person she's talking to clearly doesn't give a damn.
---Three shots if you don't either.

Odo remembers that he can shapeshift in a fight.
---Two shots if the writers have clearly forgotten that Odo can't be harmed by something. (ex- a bat'leth)

Worf is shown working on the station (as opposed to the Defiant).
---Two shots if that work does not involve attending briefings or dealing with Klingons.
---Three shots if that work doesn't invove manning tactical either.

Jadzia acts in a manner that would get most Starfleet officers court-martialed.
---Two shots if Sisko acts approvingly.
---Three shots if Sisko attributes the behavior to Curzon.

O'Brien gets beaten up, tortured, or emotionally traumatized.
---Two shots if O'Brien acts jovially in the very next episode.
---Three shots if O'Brien acts jovially later on in the same episode.
---Four shots if Keiko makes things worse.
---Five shots if Keiko was responsible in the first place.
    ---Proceed immediately to detox.

Jake fails to appear in an episode.
---Two shots if you didn't realize it until after the episode.
---Three shots if Jake appears and you realize that you had forgotten he existed.
---Four shots if you have no idea who I'm talking about.

    Ezri babbles.
---Two shots if Ezri has an entire conversation without babbling.

    A Miranda-class ship explodes.
---Two shots if a Miranda-class ship is shown having survived a battle.
---Drink the whole bottle if any Federation or Klingon ship not containing major characters is shown to have shields up.

Take a shot when Winn calls someone "child". Take two if she says it in a snide way.

Take a shot when Quark gets aroused at the thought of becoming rich.

Take a shot when Odo grumbles, "Quarrrrk!"

This is the best thread ever. I'm going to get loaded tonight. I'm using all of the above as rules....

I wonder how many episodes I'll make it through before I drop.

I watched "The Ship" and lasted till the end. And then was sick for the rest of the night. The Jadzia rules and Jake rules really came back to bite me.

    Mwa-ha-ha!

Seriously though. How'd you get through that episode and not get alcohol poisoning from the Jadzia shots and O'Brien shots?

This thread is fantastic. I'm not even feeling guilty about reopening it after nearly a decade.

All these rules hit the nail on the head, but there are a few I think need to be added.

    Take a shot when...

    Sisko kisses Jake

--Two shots if it's on the cheek

--Three shots if it's on the mouth

--Four shots if you wanted it to be on the mouth

Sisko gets really passionate and his speech descends into guttural burps rather than actual words

--Two shots if he storms into the room and immediately starts barking

--Three shots if he storms out of the room after finishing barking

--Four shots if he kisses Jake on the mouth

    Garak sits down with Bashir

--Two shots if he is needlessly suspicious or hints at spying

--Three shots if he somehow shoehorns his tailoring into the conversation

--Four shots if he gets Bashir involved in a scheme

Garak takes a sharp intake of breath before starting a sentence

--Two shots if the following word or sentence is considerably quieter than the breath he just took

--Three shots if he's talking with Sisko and Sisko replies with an equally sharp intake of breath

--Four shots if he holds up his finger in a Colombo style at the same time as taking a sharp breath

--Five shots if a Sisko/Garak conversation consists of no words, only louder and sharper intakes of breath

Ensign Surname: an unknown hire arrives on the ship

--Two shot if they turn out to be the good guy

--Three shots if they turn out to the the bad guy

--Four shots if they're there for the episode and are never shown or mentioned again

Lwaxana Troi is in the episode

    --Drink until the pain stops

Finish the bottle every time a character reduces complex military tactics to "punching through."

Drink every time O'Brien sounds more "Irish" than he usually does.

Drink every time O'Brien is treated as a surrogate Englishman for Bashir's sake (like singing Jerusalem).

    Drink everytime someone exclaims "Dabo!"

If you want to get REALLY drunk.

-Drink every time Garak lies to someone.
-Drink every time Avery Brooks overperforms his lines.
-Drink every time a Bajoran reacts offendedly to something.

    You should be. ;)

Seriously though, if a thread hasn't had any replies in over a year, please just let it rest in peace. You can always start a new one if you really like the subject matter.
