Dr Crusher's ridiculous skirt

Hi, I was hoping someone could help me prove that I'm not crazy.

I've been wracking my brain and the internet, trying to find the name of the episode in which Dr. Crusher is wearing this weird sort of pink tutu with a chunk missing from it in the front. It's in a scene where she is in casual clothes, talking with (I think) Captain Picard.

I remember seeing this many years ago, and I remember it being one of the most ridiculous wardrobe choices I'd ever seen! I always thought it was from the episode Attached, in the final scene where Beverly and Jean-Luc are in his quarters talking. Last night I re-watched Attached, only to find that she is wearing a decidedly normal-looking skirt.

Does anyone else remember the insane pink tutu? Am I crazy??

Your help would be much appreciated.

yes, I think they are eating dinner in his quarters - I cannot remember the epi name. I remember thinking it was ghastly and even my husband laughed at it. It led to a discussion about how strange/funny/ wonderful fashion can be.

Is it possible that you're right about the tutu and crazy?? ;)

I kid.

Honestly, I'm drawing a blank. Someone will dig it out of TrekCore if it did exist.

come to think of it perhaps the skirt was gold and the top was pink . . . I remember seeing it on a TNG rerun on scyfy w/in the last 30 days. or maybe I'm the crazy one!

I was sure that it was in Attached... but when you watch the episode she's totally wearing a different skirt. Could they have simply re-shot and retconned it out of existence?

^^ I might've requested that if I were Gates! By the way, whom I think is one seriously underrated beauty! Look at those cheekbones - exquisite!

^ yes! Kes7, that is the dress I had in mind! but still probably a leetle crazy!

sorry - what about the one where she meets the ghost her great-grandmother had an affair with? she wore some negligee -type stuff there. other than that I'm all out. sorry.

Here's an excerpt from Phil Farrand's Nitpicker's Guild Newsletter. This is definitely not describing the skirt in the photo above...

"And, what is with the skirt that Crusher wears in the last scene of this episode? (In case you haven't seen the episode, it has lots of big poofy fabric around the hips that hangs down stiffly. In an attempt to add some sensuality to the outfit, the creators cut a large pie shaped piece out of the front that almost reaches up to Crusher's belly button.) Who in the world came up this fashion statement? Did all the good designers die out in the early 24th century? (My guess is that they terminally infuriated the entire female population of the galaxy sometime around 2314. In response, our normally gentile, fairer sex went on a rampage and stuffed those guys into some of the outfits they had designed and then gleefully watched them die a slow, suffocating and painful death.)
...
(Honestly, when Crusher strutted her stuff down the hall at the very end of the episode, I could not help but imagine a guy in front of her waving flashlights and yelling, "Comin' through, comin' through. Wide load, comin' through!" Sorry. That was unkind.)
"

I just watched Attached from the Season 7 DVD release, and I can tell you that there's no scene of Crusher walking down the hall! They definitely must have gone back and changed it.

Someone has to have a screencap from the original episode!

Gates had some pretty dodgy wardrobing in TNG, but I don't know of any that sounds like the one you describe.

The most egregious are the curtain-wrapped-around-her-waist from Attached, and the mini-dress over leggings from Allegiance.

Her other civvies that I can recall - the dress with no shoulders, the brown pinafore from Suspicious, the Blue knit sweater which turned up a couple of times, and the maroon sweater-dress from Lonely Among Us. Also, satin pajamas, slinky ghost-lovin' nightie, and frumpy pink nightie.

I remember that outfit but for the life of me I can't recall anything else in that episode that would name it.

You can see it here, from 8:36. Best shot there is of the strange drapery of that skirt.

That's gotta be it. It has the triangle piece cut out of the front, it does have a weird draping going on, and she walks down the hallway at the end...

I vaguely remember Beverly wearing a blue outfit with a pink ballerina / hula skirt. It’s definitely not the outfit shown in “attached”.. But I can’t remember which episode either.

I actualy like that skirt.

The closest thing I can find to this skirt of "Beverly's" is Troi's "Dynasty" dress in "Menage Trois" LINK

You guys think the dress was the worst part of that scene? Oh my God, could Stewart and McFadden have been any more uncomfortable?? They didn't seem like two people on the verge of starting a relationship...it seemed like they were doing all they could not to break into laughter.
