Donna Noble Goes To Scranton

personally, I'd love to see ALL of them in a room together . . . Arnett, Ferrell, Carell, Romano, Spader, Tate, Gervais, . . . no story, just shove them all in a room and see what happens :D

this is completely random, but I'd love to see Tim & Eric (and Zach Galifianakis) on the Office :p

This is good news.

I actually think she must have the role.

Otherwise why put someone who is virtually unknown in America alonside a bunch of very well-known actors who are supposedly up for the part too?
I was going to ask, does Tate have that much of a profile in the states?

It would be a great for her, if she did get the role, very unexpected.

I don't think she does, but that might work in her favour because they might prefer an "unknown".

Good luck to her if she gets it.

I doubt that outside of Doctor Who or British TV fans than anyone in the US knows her...but then, very few people beyond watchers of The Daily Show knew Steve Carell when The Office started either...

Catherine Tate as the new boss would be one of the few things they could do to keep my interest in The Office another season...

The Super Temp in charge of an office? I would actually tune in to see her. And I don't even watch The Office. So ... This would be a way to gain viewers.

She was recently in an American film-The Jack Black Gulliver's Travels, but that was a flop.

I saw it, and it was excellent*.

*At least, for the few minutes she was on the screen, then it went back to blerg.

if she gets the show I wonder if they'll make her do an accent, or if she'll use her own . . . I hope they do not have her do an accent

She's supposed to be doing Shakespeare in the theatre with David until September, and that was their idea.

Interesting, I thought it might have been one of those situations where they cast minor roles with Brit actors for over here, but the US version has more recognisable American actors...I guess its mainly animation that do that.

If she does get the gig I really hope loads of people won't suddenly start complaing she's fat :klingon:

I'd also add in Rainn Wilson -- I think he's earned the right to join them. The Scottie Pippen to Scott/Carrell's Jordan.

But it'd be great if they were all in the same room and Jim freaks out because he suddenly discovers that he can't be in the same room with them, for one reason or another. No offense to Jim of course, but I enjoy him when he gets skittish.

Honestly, I can't stand The Office. (The British version was slightly better but still nothing I would recommend.) But if Tate gets the gig, I will absolutely have to start watching!

Of course, I've had ideas for Tate on American TV for a while now. (My dream is for her to star in a TV series based on Sparkle Hayter's Robin Hudson comedy/murder mystery novels. It's like Murder She Wrote meets Seinfeld meets Sex & the City. http://www.amazon.com/Whats-Gotta-R...=sr_1_1?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1302139675&sr=1-1 )

If James Spader gets the gig, it will be the 2nd time he's taken over as the lead on a long-running series after the original lead left.
