I'm not kidding. If the CGI stands out to me that's not a good sign.
I don't care about fan reactions. Popularity doesn't equal enjoyability. You want me to like it? Don't tell me it's popular.
See, the Orville feels extremely fake, like the way it swings around, and the overall feel. It doesn't have anything to it that I'm like "Oh, that's fun."I think the effects in TO is much cleaner and clearer then let's say STD or even SNW so far. The problem with the trek shows is everything is dark on the color scale for the cgi. Thry usually use darker tones and scenes to cover up poor cgi. In TO the ship is bright and white and the space scenes are nice and clear. It feels more trek like. Just my opinion.

Current Trek has me gripped at least rather than waiting for it to be done or skipping through it.
If you say so. If it didn't take me out of the story then good enough.I always think of those poor effects on Picard season 1. Those were so bad..

Mileage will vary. Orville flipping around looked too much like PT Yoda style lack of physics. Those cut and paste ships as well as those weird flower things did. It all looked too computerized to me.
Well it was not funny. It was stupid.
Orville is the kind of flowey bright generic "futuristic" that has been popular for a while now. JJ Trek and Hitchhikers both had it for instance. 32nd Disco has an abundance of it too and I just hate that style. Everything is the wrong kind of bright and all the ships look like aquatic life.I think the effects in TO is much cleaner and clearer then let's say STD or even SNW so far. Your not gonna like the new trailer for Orville where a load of identical human ships fight a load of identical robot ones. Those cut and paste ships as well as those weird flower things did. It all looked too computerized to me.
Bwahahahaha!!!Wwll its too bad that the majority of continuity and mistakes that are very hard to try and reconcile have come from kurtzmsk trek and filled up the mistakes cabinet. He singlehandedly made trek like any generic sci fi. He even made hand phasers operate like star wars laser blasters. The phaser has always been a iconic weapon and should fire a straight continuous beam.
Bwahahahaha!!!
NOPE
Damn it Pubert, please keep your obsessive Discovery hate out of this forum. Next time earns you a Trolling warning.Yeah pretty much. The turbo fun house and the spote drive were two of the most idiotic things STD has done to damage star treks past.
Watch more TOS. Early TOS

They do occasionally. Pon Farr brings emotion. Spock is also half human so it's natural that he might be more prone to a occasional emotion than a full Vulcan.![]()
The best one, IMO.|
Once Nimoy solidified his portrayal as Spock, so many seemed to take that as all Vulcans are emotionless and never laugh or smile.
Vulcans do experience emotions, they just usually repress them. It is possible for them to get an emotional reaction so strong they can't repress it.They do occasionally. Pon Farr brings emotion.
