Fred Armisen, Bill Hader, & Seth Meyers produce this half hour series of mocumentaries on IFC, that I 'd been enjoying pretty well in its 1st three episodes, Sandy Passage, The Eye Doesn't Lie, & Dronez: The Hunt for El Chingon, but I was absolutely stunned by crippling laughter over the latest one I've seen, Kunuk Uncovered. Perhaps it's because I'm a little more familiar with the source material they are mocking, of the 1922 film Nanook of the North & its 1990 follow-up, inside look into the film, Nanook Revisited, than I am with the other mockups' sources, but this one left me feeling that I had just seen quite possibly the best mocumentary ever
The level of detail in this show is outstanding, & this episode in particular is just fantastic. If this show doesn't win & Emmy or several, there's a major injustice going on. This thing was a parody on a documentary exposé of another documentary. It left my brain numb.
