Back to Space-Con is a documentary about the early Star Trek conventions in the San Francisco area. The trailer is pretty fun as it's got footage from vintage 70s Trek conventions, and glimpses of the TOS cast in those days.

Ha! I remember years ago when I was in the states a fan from San Francisco told me about a guy who she knew who changed his name to James T. Kirk - there he is!

Wonder if my dad is in this film? He said that he happened on a Star Trek convention once in the 70s and just went. He got to see/meet Gene Roddenberry. He was already a Trekkie, but I think he said that he had no plans to go to the con/wasn't aware of it. He told me this as he and I went to our first con together. Real bonding experience, actually.
