Doctor Who/Sherlock/Dirk crossover

Timelord79 (he/him)

Vice Admiral
Admiral
Ok, with the two current shows it will be very unlikely.

But is there any reason the Doctor couldn't meet the actual Holmes from the original time period (or at least a "real" version who inspired Sir Arthur C. Doyle?
And if he does, could the guy please be played by Cumberbatch?

On that note, would a actual Dirk Gently crossover be out of the question?

Dirk Gently is totallyl out there anyway with some of it`s sci-fi elements... A TARDIS wouldn't be out of place there...

Of course a TARDIS wouldn't be out of place in Dirk Gently; St. Cedd's Professor Chronotis has one. :)

(I've not seen the Dirk Gently series, but Chronotis is in the first book. I don't think he appears in the series, though, from what I've heard.)

And they call it a TARDIS?
The Pilot episode features a homemade time machine for a one way trip. A TARDIS would have been so much cooler. :D

The Sherlock thing would be amazing for let's say a holiday special! I'd be totally up for it! And I'm sure people would watch it.

Certainly, lots of people would watch it...and promptly bitch about how much it violates canon.

In which case, to quote my dear old grandma, "Fuck'em."

Anyway, a Sherlock/DW crossover would make a brilliant CiN presentation.

I just don't see the point of having crossovers between different series, no matter how well done they may be. I like keeping things to whatever universe they normally belong to.
