On May 9, Disney XD aired "New Earth" as an early preview, with plans to run the rest of Tennant's run beginning on June 13 (for that premiere week, they'll actually run an episode a day).

They may be reruns, but I can't help but think this it'll give even more exposure to the series in the States. It'd be interesting to see if any edits are made, but Disney XD isn't exclusively for little kids as they do show PG-rated fare now and then.

Yeah, Disney XD is meant to target a somewhat older audience than the Disney Channel, up to the mid-teens, which is why they're separate networks.

So Star Wars, Marvel, and now Doctor Who. All they need is a new animated Star Trek.
Can't really rule that out now, I guess. If there's anyone CBS might partner up with on such a project, it's probably Disney as they've produced licensed stuff before.

At any given time, it seems the main difference between the Disney Channel and Disney XD is that the latter shows more cartoons and is skewed more towards boys.
