Doctor Who Novels

I live in Tennesse and am a big Doctor Who fan, ranks right up there with Star Trek but you want to know something, in the 45 years I've been around I've never seen a Doctor Who novel!
Now someone is going to write and say look on Google, but you don't understand, I've NEVER SEEN A NOVEL FOR SALE!
(Somewhere out there there's somebody hoarding all the Doctor Who novels and when I find them I'm going Tardis on them!)(joke!)

I've barely read any either. Who Shot Kennedy is worth a read though - it's a thriller about a journalist who tries to track down the Doctor, picking up references to most of the Hartnell, Troughton and Pertwee Earth-based stories. It's quite fanwanky in a Greg Cox kind of way (his Khan books are practically plagarism!), but if you like that sort of thing, it's a fun read.

Who Killed Kennedy, by Dave Bishop, not Who Shot Kennedy

Be aware that the golden age of DW novels is past for now - between 1992 and 2005 there were series of full-size tie-ins comparable to the likes of regular Trek novels; however, since 2005 there have only been mini-hardbacks aimed at a younger audience... (well, some of those have been reprinted in paperback, and the Quick Reads are even shorter paperbacks, but you get the idea: they don't do full scale novels any more.)

There's a guide to all of them - NAs, MAs, EDAs, PDAs, script books, novelisations, the lot; here:

Yes, I think Big Finish has really taken on the past Doctor mantle since the new series started.

^ So apparently the fact that Davison, Colin Baker, McCoy & McGann have had enduring success with the BF audios hasn't given him pause to perhaps "give them another go"?

As long as we're listing them, his ex-wife had her own BF series that went over quite well too. I just don't understand why he'll do audios for one and not the other. But he always was an eccentric individual.
