Doctor Who Avatar Contest: You Will Experience Fear.

Alright ladies, gentlemen and assorted variations thereon, your assignment this week is FEAR. Pick those moments that made you cower behind your sofa and afraid to turn off the lights at night. Images of characters in the show being afraid are within the bounds of the contest.

The usual rules apply, maximum size of 140x140 and ~70 Kb, etc, etc. Go!

Well, since I've had "Remembrance of the Daleks" on the mind of late, here's the Doctor looking rather fearful in the closing moments of Part 1...

That's the face Sylvester McCoy made when he rewatched all of the 7th Doctor episodes that came before Remembrence of the Daleks.

The most scary episode for me was definetely "The Empty Child". (It didn't help that I watched it in the middle of the night...). I can't decide between those two motives at the moment:

I found the scene depicted in the second avatar scarier, but as a picture, the first appearance of the empty child looks scarier.

it's too frickin dark to see anything!

I actually did lighten it up somewhat so you could better see his face, but I didn't want to go too far that it didn't resemble the actual scene, which was quite on the dark side.

The Hand of Fear scared the living whatsits out of me as a kid. These days it's still one of my favourite episodes.

The monster takes the Doctor's voice in "Midnight."

*Thanks, WorfDS9, for helping me find some great pictures!

I like the first one best. I love The Empty Child--very creepy.

I agree. The first one looks better as a still than the second one, although it was the scene in the second picture that scared the hell out of me.

So, Gep, please consider the first one my entry for this contest.
