For some reason, I'm nervous about this one. Just with the tagline I feel like it might be some kind of 'Blink-lite'. Not to mention...and it sounds weird...but the promos make the episode look cheap. Hopefully like all Moffat stories this one will just slap me silly... :techman:

I am very much looking forward to this, its been to long since we had a new one.

quite how im going to cope next year I dont know

Actually from the preview I was gettign more of an 'The Impossible Planet' vibe. Scientific team sent to investigate a mystery, etc, etc. But we'll see.

But in spite of that, here at Milo's Meadow we're all doing the Happy Dance because we're Finally GETTING A NEW FRIGGIN' EPISODE!!!

I have to admit, I share your concerns. The ep does look a bit low budget (those white space suits don't help) I'm hoping we're both mistaken however. After all, how promising did the trailer for Blink look?

This will no doubt be a local episode...for local people.....nothing for the rest of you here.

Anyway cant be as bad as last week......no Who and the eurobiasedvision song fix....i mean contest.

That's the first thing I thought when I saw old Pembo in the picture. So - on a scale of one to twelvety, I wonder how good this episode will be...

:D

OK, I'm convinced. Moffat is a fecking genius.

That was 45 minutes of wonderfulness. Wonderfulness on toast. I have NO idea what's going on, and I love it.

But....WHO IS SHE? WHO THE FECK IS SHE?

Definitely gets a twelvety from me.

:D

Seconded.

She's obviously a future companion... and she's got spoilers.

Difficult to mark without the second part, but i'll go with above average.

Haven't got a clue whats going on, although I read in the paper about Alex Kingston.

Great stuff.

Well, accordingly to the newspapers...

The Doctors future girlfriend

Well, that was great!

Perhaps I mean more... interesting, in a WTF?! sort of way.

One part Continuity Errors, with a bit of Genocide Machine, lots of other things, and the Stig as guest villain.

'twas mysterious and spooky, and has some nice guest-shots (albeit pretty one-dimensional in Alex Kingston's case: it's pretty obvious who she's going to turn out to be, or at least who were meant to think she'll be. Folks who remember certain bits of disinformation from the JNT era will get it at once, and the casual viewer about ten seconds later.

It's also damn near impossible to score without seeing the second half, but I'd certainly say it was the most consistently engaging and intriguing episode so far this season.

The only negative point- the kid's delivery of "Doctor Moon" when talking to him alone.

Roll on next week!

Fantastic...

That episode just plays with your head and you just know part 2 will be a huge payoff. Stephen Moffat is the british Joss Whedon IMO and can't wait for 2010 when he takes over the reigns.

Was it just me or that whole neuron thing was so creepy
