"Doc Brown's" house destroyed

Sad.

But I can't weep too much when a millionare's home is destroyed.

That's one of the most absurd things you've said here. :wtf:

I feel similarly to Trekker, I think. He said, and I will echo, that it is sad. I believe he meant that sincerely, and I can varify that I do as well.

With that said, it seems pretty likely that Lloyd will be able to afford building a similar home in the near future and to also replace all of the damaged items inside of the home. So that tempers the sadness quite a bit.

Didn't Suzanne Somers lose a couple of homes just a few years back? One to wildfires and the other to a mudslide...and both within a year or so of one another?

Come on now, let's not go that far...that's thousands of absurd posts you're dismissing!

I think you pretty much got it.

I mean, sure, it's sad the guy lost his home and all which is sad and he lost memorabilia and heirlooms that can never be replaced which is sad.

But at the end of the day, the guy is alive and the guy can easily afford to replace his home and replace the replaceable items inside.

Poor guy. :( If my house burned down, the loss would be incalculable. All my stories, art, photos, forty-plus years of personal belongings, memorabilia and souvenirs; not to mention my thousands of books, many of which are very old now. The loss for someone his age, with his career, must be even greater.

And this has happened to dozens of homes, just in these latest wildfires. :(

That's reall a shame that Chris Lloyd's house burned down.

The news report said he had lots of memorabillia from his movies, what a shame that all of that is gone now.

As for the debate that it was better for it to happen to him than others, there's no better, just less bad. People are still rebuilding from Hurricane Katrina at this point, does anyone want to bet that the damage from this disaster will be fixed after Katrina? I think we all know that since it was a wealthy area, it will get fixed much faster. Still doesn't make it a good thing.
