We have finally gotten an official name to the JJ trek or NU trek as most of all used to call it, Now that a name is official would you like to see novels about the kelvin universe and if there are novels will you read them?
Yes. I never understood why there couldn't be any novels in this universe, but there is a whole series of comics.

I think it's being used in the game "Star Trek Online." I haven't seen it used in relation to anything else in the Trek franchise, though.Official name for the universe? Where?

Huh. I'm usually more on top of updates from Star Trek Online.Reportedly the Okudas settled on "Kelvin Timeline" as its designation in the updated Encyclopedia that's coming (which includes the new movies' timeline, yet still inexplicably fails to include the animated series). Star Trek Online was the first to announce it, though, in connection with a new campaign that includes elements from that timeline.

And there are also the four unpublished Kevlin Timeline novels, Refugess by Alan Dean Foster, Seek A Newer World by Christopher L. Bennett, More Beautiful Than Death by David Mack, and The Hazards of Concealing by Greg Cox. They even released covers and descriptions of them before they were canceled.
