Cardassians are the one species I am desperate to see in the new modern Trek World. We see a few Cardassian characters here and there but it's usually just background characters or a person who is only a quarter Cardassian. With Picard Season 3 I'm surprised we haven't even gotten a mention of Cardassians since the Dominion war is a big topic for this season. I know that the Dominion did a brutal number on Cardassia but it would be nice to have an update on how they're coping and surviving these days. Did they join Starfleet? Now that the Changelings are back, will this motivate them to join forces with Non-Comprised Starfleet and get their revenge towards the Changelings?
I hope one day we get a Cardassian character working for Starfleet as a commander, chief engineer or hell even as a pilot.
