Simple question. I've found that while the paycheck may be limiting at times I absolutely love the work, the people, the environment-- and generally I would happily put in extra hours (I'm a webmaster/new media coordinator for a public health non-profit). Anybody?

Do you like your job?

A radio host gets confused when interviewing the chief of police and comedy gold ensues.

As for me, for the most part, I do enjoy my gig. I'll enjoy it more when the income surpasses the effort since it's a startup consulting job right now. Ask me again in 12-18 months.

It's OK. The pay is OK, but they keep cutting back the hours. I get to work from home, though, which is pretty damn sweet.

In the past year I've gone from love to like but that's mainly due to the extra stress and pressure everyone is under because of the economy, artificial timelines, the economy, etc.

I LOVE my job! I work for Mazda and we get to listen to music all day and I get to drive a machine (it's a DC). Hell yeah, the days just fly by.

Nope. It is an easy federal govt job and pretty boring. I have always hated desk work, but it pays well, offers job security and it is hard to get fired from so I stay. What I would like to do is go back in the Army, but I am too old to do what I really want to do.

I don't mind my job. I like the people I work with, and I like the flexibility. However, it's not what I want to do with my life, and I'm working toward transitioning out of an office setting altogether.

I wish it was more of a part-time job in addition to a much better career. I love bartending, but I don't love bartending 40+ hours a week.

Sometimes I like it and sometimes I'm sort of indifferent about it. I don't usually hate it though. It mostly just depends I'm working on at the time.

Right now I am unemployed so my job is pretty much being a student. It's grueling and has unpleasant moments, but for the most part I love it.

Generally I like doing what I do -- typesetting and page layout for a small commercial printer. There's variety, an occasional chance to exercise creative judgment, and the satisfaction of making an actual product. For me, the downside of working for a mom-and-pop business (no benefits to speak of) is outweighed by the upside (no BS or office politics).

My job can be gratifying or heartbreaking, depending on the patient I'm working with at the moment. But it's all about helping people, so it's a good job. And I get to work from home, so you can't beat that.
