I love a lot the less often mentioned but significant aliens, and made this collage limiting myself to 26 of them. Could you have named them all by image alone? (I'm posting this here instead of the Trek Art Forum because I want to talk about the aliens more than my simple – if awesome – collage.)

What are the advanced, and relatively nearby, Vissians doing in the 24th Century, or during the Dominion War? Do the Xyrillians remind anyone else of 1985's Enemy Mine? Do the Tardigrades remind anyone else of Stitch? (Also, link to my fan-theory on the history between the Cardassians and the Malurians/Zalkonians.) I wish they did a "Lower Decks"-like episode exploring the landscape of aliens like the Satarrans or the Orions who were not a threat to superpowers like the Klingons or the Federation but would have been extremely dangerous to, say, the Mintakans, or us.

I could have named five (Benzite, Fabrini, Q, Rhaandarite and Tardigrade) and only recognize three others (Efrosian, Promellian and Zalkonian).

^ I purposely didn’t include the main species or even overly famous members of each one wherever possible. This one’s for the true fan geeks. :bolian::cardie::klingon::rommie::borg::vulcan:

With Q, for not well known aliens... maybe the Qomar or Quarran, both from VOYAGER.

:)
That specific Q though....oh what might have been. Corbin Bernsen was every bit as hammy as de Lancie — perfect for a Q.

In fact, for a while while putting this together, I was using the Qomar. But I liked how dynamic Q2’s pose played in the collection. Also, all these aliens are significant for *one reason or **another but the Qomar...they were always iffy for me.

*The Haakonians, though seen once, played a huge impact on the Talaxians.
**The Xyrillians were really well presented as aliens.

Do Tardigrades count as "less often mentioned"? I don't even watch the show, and for the past couple years I've been seeing Tardigrade this, Tardigrade that, Tardigrade, Tardigrade, Tardigrade....

I wanted to include something from DSC and I adore it whenever Trek springs for a non-humanoid. The Tardigrade was planned to become part of the bridge crew but the CG proved too expensive. Now with the spore network gone, I don’t know that we’ll ever hear of them again.

@Therin of Andor, I love that book. It’s perfect.
