Do you hallucinate?-Your experience with this?

In the past, chemicals paved the way to Unsanity (term coined by Timothy Leary) and I saw wondrous and amazing things, all of which were never there. I never felt or "saw" any Deitic Presence, but I did hallucinate my ass off.

I sometimes have aural "hallucinations" that are almost always from someone long ago with which I had a strong emotional connection, saying only my first name. It is unprompted and so very clear, that I am "sure" it is them saying my name in whatever guise. Crystal. Clear.

Unnerving, but kinda cool.

JESUS, the shit I saw!

I've been having regular chats with this interesting guy I run into locally, on the train etc.. he is about 70 and has a lot to say on all kinds of topics. We've been chatting ever since I got into a fight with the Jehovah's Witnesses who took over the public benches in my neighbourhood about a year ago. He's a very nice person. Well the other day out of the blue he started talking about how he is visited in his room at night by beings, aliens from another dimension and they share knowledge with him.

Now I have to avoid him because wtf! I can't listen to this stuff and act like it is real!

Ugh. Well I'm not exactly avoiding him but I am directing the conversation more in order to make sure I never have to hear about this again.

TeaCake,... this is common with me too although the aliens seem to be light and dark - angels and demons healing me mostly as I go to sleep in hypnogogic land. I would let your friend know that you do not want to talk about this and that you need to stay in a common reality for the both of you... ((i want to say give him my email or something for me to find out something new that he has been taught by these dimensional beings but ,... I probably don't have time. the one dimension that even in my timelab I can only dilate it so much.)

Depends on what I'm on... ;)

ok I have time (how ironic I just typed that I did not have time even in my timelab.) JadziaDax if say you are on...mmmmm mushrooms <(AND)> say LSD or else ecstasy what do we get? maybe some ketamine there too..? say all at once.. what senses first hallucinate the most then second most of course the objects that are hallucinated too.?> et.c., maybe <<< if you got time and care to share.. hehe .. listing then the combinations out and such...With alcohol I would hallucinate breaks in my vision to the point of a stuttering kind of reality in that the thing I was in was breaking apart.. and such with sharp edges and such. :) I was not in a very real reality but it was based on where I was at the time... :)==

Had a hallucinatory dream the other mmm nite/morning of a bomb I was hiding from and then I was pulling the enterprise out of a blackhole with use of a mind probe that would attach to my brain and allow greater thought creations.. we had a line.. rescue line going into the black hole assisting the enterprise and they did a probe that contacted the hole people and produced the "organic chip" to go into the mind as well then I was on the ground and hooking up with the gov to --- fight some kind of aliens that were disguised as us... you and me.. I also hallucinated that I typed a lot more here then there is now but I don't know where it went...

weird.. :) I don't self indulge into the drug arena anymore unless under Dr's care---

I have been trying to unlock the front door of my house when I could have sworn I heard my son say, "I'm coming!" so I stop fiddling with the key and wait. But he never comes so when I get in the door finally, I find that he was upstairs and didn't know I was at the door so said nothing. Just a wishful auditory hallucination I guess. Are hallucinations just waking dreams? I have some very involved dreams, just like reading a book. I read a LOT so it isn't surprising.

Put the book down... hehe sounds like you have sinister voices at work in your universe?

Dream/hallucinations... there are not too much of a difference cept dreaming is subconscious asleep.. and well hallucinations can seem like a dream when your awake.?

I have found if I can move thru the planet I am on at the time of the dream then it is a dream if I can not "transcend" the planet/universe I am in then I am awake and just hallucinating again...

Dreams usually relate to what is going on in your life... some hallucinations do but they do not have to... as a rule of thumb if you see layers of situations atop each other in the same frame of reality then you might be hallucinating // audio hallucinations are like > hearing the person by you,.. talk about you... or me.. well not me, because it is your hallucination the computer screen the keyboard .. your hands and fingers yep that is all illusional delusions of a hallucinatory nature. mmmm ok ok ok I should stop there I guess.

I sometimes hallucinate that I am posting on a Star Trek based bulletin board. Very strange.

The current (online) journal JAMA Psychiatry says that many healthy people have experienced at least one hallucination not linked to mental illness, drugs, or alcohol. Researchers surveyed more than 31,000 people in 18 countries and asked them if they'd ever experienced a hallucination or delusion, and about 1 in 20 said they had.

I had a rather vivid series of hallucinations back in college ... as a result of sleep deprivation. There was one Finals Week where I slept a total of 14 hours over a seven-day period (including a couple of all-nighters). I remember staring at the chalkboard in one of my classes, watching the chalk dust on it become a foggy mist which, after a few moments, parted to reveal a tropical beach, with palm trees over-hanging an open pirate treasure chest. There was also a performance of dancing trash cans in the study lounge.

Ah, college ...

Did I mention I saw the universe explode like 50+ times and I ate that as it exploded since it was almost a constant explosion,.. And I was bored,.. What are you supposed to do when you see that, and are done talking to "God?"

Sorta. I once had to take a rather powerful anti-depressant and I had a vision of myself being stabbed to death, except I only saw the shadows on the wall. I also saw myself on an autopsy table afterwards. I was aware at the time that it couldn't have been real, but I certainly saw it. Pretty wild, man.

Another time I was part of this class where we were doing mental exercises and we were supposed to imagine certain locales. My mind started imagining locales that the teacher informed us to and when I reported afterwards what I'd seen I was told the teacher never said any of those prompts and the class thought I was crazy. Apparently I went down a weird corridor in my mind during the exercise.

I don't remember this but I've been informed that it happened: when I was a kid I got a really bad case of bronchitis and was prescribed a medicine that did not agree with me. Apparently it led to me ripping the wallpaper off the walls of my room- not an easy feat for a three year old.

3 year old memories... If I can I am not sure if I remember this from three or if it was just because it happened and I was told that it happened... at a later date..

I was in the bedroom and decided to paint the windows with my feces in order to block out the light coming thru so I could get some really good sleep ... IDK I am an artist right now and I have used oil paint like finger paint on canvas... and so on...

or this happened during a diaper change .. I peed across the table to my grandma's coffee and such. which she had to get another cup of coffee as a result..

I do remember after a hospital visit I had stopped talking all together ... nothing was worth saying anymore till I was like six years old.

Then the toilet training finished and I could count numbers by that age.. it was later. and I started counting all the times I would use the bathroom to sit down and use you know ... :) I believe I made it above 100 but idk as well. possibly 86 since in high school I memorized pi out to 86 digits of value. and stopped there. 000
