Do you eat in bed?

I rarely do as I hate getting crumbs in my bed.

I can't even remember the last time one of my kids gave me breakfast in bed (I am usually up well before they are).

Same here, but sometimes it's nice to do. Sometimes I'll make breakfast for my girlfriend in the morning, and we'll sit in bed and watch Star Trek.

I used to like eating in bed. Then one day I realised it was too much hassle, and more relaxing just to get up and eat.

Pretty much the only place I eat.
My bed is like my living room and I've always hated
the idea of being confined to a table to eat.

I don't like the idea of eating in bed. The only time I do it is on holiday, say if I've raided the minibar of snacks and booze, that kind of thing.

Only if there's nowhere else to eat, but my preferred places to eat include the table and the armchair. Breakfast in bed is always nice, though. :D

[resists the urge to make the obvious pun about "eating out" in bed - stooping down low by resorting to below-the-belt puns like that is simply beneath me]

Occasionally I'll snack on something in bed if I'm watching movies or TV shows I recorded, but I rarely would eat an entire meal in bed unless I'm not feeling well.

Never in bed, unless I'm unwell, which is rare. I'm eating at the table usually. In the middle of the floor in the living room facing the tele is an occasional place of eating. :)

i used to, but one morning when my wife woke up covered in pistachio shell's that bad habit ended.

Sure - bowl of cereal and a cup of tea on a Sunday morning, or a midnight snack if I'm reading a bit before going to sleep. I try not to get crumbs in between the sheets though! :D

midnight snacks... well biscuits yes, I do have biscuits in bed sometimes, which is about as far as eating in bed goes with me. When I answered the question I was thinking along the lines of bowls of soup or things like that. :)

For me it was traditionally a mug of Horlicks and a biscuit at night. Got me where I am today. :bolian: [Not far, then - someone]

It's a tradition that 'other people of the house' make breakfast in bed (w. gifts) for people having a birthday, but as I have come to know it most people would rather just have the hurray's and songs and gifts and then get up and have a breakfast at a table (as usual if you will).

Personally though, when I'm reading one of those can't-put-it-down books in bed, I sometimes need to take a meal (or two) while still in bed, but I'd rather eat at a table any day. After all; I'd need to get up and wash my hands and urinate (or the other way 'round, actually) before being able to enjoy food in bed.

Plus, I hate inviting people, I've just met, in for a cup of coffee; it invariably ends with those pesky crumbs in the bed…

Every day. Even if I don't eat supper in bed (which I do frequently), I'll at least have tea and snack while reading before sleep.
