Do we still need to put "Spoiler" in the thread title? (SPOILERS)

Can't help thinking we have all seen this movie by now, and if not - why the hell are you posting in here? :wtf:

If you get spoiled by now, its your own bleeding fault. I know we want to give people fair warning etc, etc...

Mind you, if you stay to the end of the credits...

SPOILER!!!

Kirk and Spock turn into giant robots and battle a giant mutant lizard attacking the Iowa shipyards.

The official site had a 18 May cut-off date if I remember correctly. If there isn't a similar date in this forum there should be. Posters here should not be forced to protect everyone indefinitely.

I'd say that it's becoming less important that every least little spoiler be flagged, the movie hasn't opened in theaters yet for Japan and Hong Kong, and my best recollection is that the current TBBS policy asks for six months from release date (which ought to be about the time the DVDs hit the market.) I'm not sure I can really expect that for all spoilers, but I would ask at least that major spoilers continue to be flagged and/or tagged for the time being, just for courtesy's sake.

You mean things like Spock being blonde and Kirk speaking with a French accent?

And what was with Chekov's singing all the time? And torch songs? Even during the action all I could think about was "My Funny Walentine".

So many canon violations, so little time...
