Disco Music For Wedding Reception

I've been put in charge of compiling a list of songs to be played at a wedding reception. Basically i'm going to be DJ'ing and it will involve me playing the music :alienblush:. What have I let myself in for!!!!!

But what music is the ultimate question???? :( I don't have a clue.

What songs would you have played at a wedding reception? it's sort of a casual type of evening do with a buffet if you know what I mean. What would you class as disco music?

Please help me. :(

I have a very good friend in Long Beach, CA who is an extremely talented dj. I'm sure he can point you in the right direction. You can contact him via his website. He's very good about returning emails. In fact, we met because I d/loaded his archive on his website and thanked him in email, and we've since become very good friends apart from just the dance music scene. He's a super, super person to know. I know today he's working on a couple of mixes...one for a possible Atlanta and another extended version of his show at 1dance.fm that is made up of music from the 90's. He's not emailed either one to me today, so that means, as of this writing he's working on one or both of them. Mark is a huge disco fan, and his repetoire often includes new takes on music going back to the 70's. His work ranges from disco, modern dance, and gay circuit parties to Balearic music.
