The release of "A Burning House" finally gave the motivation to take a look at KRAD's IKS Gorkon / Klingon Empire-series and the the (sort of) "prequels" (Being Diplomatic Implausibility (TNG) and the Brave and the Bold - Duology).
The only thing I regret after half of Diplomatic Implausibility is, that it took me that long to start with this books. Nothing of my initial scepticism proofed to have any base. Klingons can actually be fun, despite the fact that I found them to be most overused and boring of the big alien-peoples in onscreen-Trek. Interesting characters and lots of humor (Crusher and the song of Khaless
), a more than promising start. Hopefully the remaining 6 books will keep the pace. And of course, hopefully we're gonna see more
