I'm at a point where I can't pick complete series for slots two thru five anymore. I have to pick season(s) because the shows changed dramatically through the years they were on...

2. The Next Generation seasons one and two
3. Enterprise season four
4. Voyager season two
5. Deep Space Nine seasons three and four.
This is really interesting. Anyone else want to give a breakdown of the various series/movies...their different feel, and your opinions of each? I'll try to give some of mine when I get back.

Well, Season 3 TOS definitly feels different. Different hands-on producer and all. If I recall, there's a lot of new music in season 3. Shatner is...larger...You scroll through season 3 looking for episodes to watch and you find yourself going "Nah..nah....nah..." a lot. At least I do.

TNG Seasons 1 and 2 feel different in large part because the uniforms, the SFX, Riker doing that annoying John Wayne walk of his..men in dresses...

And I agree that watching TNG season one is almost like watching a completly different show than season three.

How can we break apart each series?

My quick subjective breakdown:

TOS
S1-2 establishment
S3 wavering

TNG
S1-2 trying to catch lightning in a bottle again,
S3-5 core renaissance,
S6-7 running down

DS9
S1-2 tng-lite identity seeking,
S3-6 core melodrama,
S7 endgame mega-arc

VOY
S1-3 more cerebral,
S4-7 more visceral

ENT
S1-2 episodic meandering,
S3 mega-arc,
S4 mini-arcs

EDIT:
TMP Trek meets 2001
TWoK-TVH golden era
TFF-TUC wind down
GEN-FC "good" tng
INS-NEM bad tng
ST '09(-ID?) glossy retro reboot
