Spoilers Did Voyager also have a Cetacean Ops?

If yes, how did the Dolphins cope with Voyager being lost in the Delta Quadrant and were there friendships between some of them and some humanoid crew members?

After Cetacean Ops finally making an appearance in the Lower Decks Season 2 Finale i wonder if most Starfleet vessels have such an installation aboard (at least since the 24th century).

Voyager was 343 meters, 15 decks, 140 people, and had a mess hall, dual warp cores, and a shuttle fabrication bay. No kids, no pets, no edgy bar. And probably no dolphins.

Maybe i'm wrong, but i had the impression that the Cerritos was way smaller than the Enterprise-D and possibly not much bigger than Voyager.

So i think there were possibly a few Dolphins aboard.

Exactly. California is closer to Galaxy than Intrepid and a completely different mission profile. I highly doubt there were dolphins at all.

Good point. But in this case, why wasn't there a mention of Cetacean Ops in "Disaster", "Starship Mine", "Masks" or "Genesis" for example?

I'm not sure because of this, if the two mentions in TNG count more than that we never heard anything about it in Voy.

True, but similar things can be said about all the recreational facilities Wesley mentions in the pilot; we never hear about what is going on there. In Starship Mine they most certainly selected a space port/station that could temporarily hold the Catacean officers (just like they must have had a temporary hold for the plants in the arboretum and the mall)

And another factor; considering that the Cataceans are supposed to be helpful with navigations (at least that's what people always say...they didn't exactly help with navigating the Cerritos through that asteroid field) wouldn't they have been consulted during those episodes when Seven pulls a new tricks out of her sleeve that changes the way Voyager navigates and such?
Plus, Voyager just seems a lot smaller and less lavish than both the Ent-D and the Cerritos, so it's unlikely to me that they had a Catacean ops.

He'd never use oranges as long as he still had some leola root.

According to the Shipyards: Starfleet Ships 2294 - The Future reference book from Eaglemoss, the California class is 794 meters long. At the time, it is the largest Starfleet vessel in service, dwarfing the Galaxy class in size.

I have...reservations about that proposed length
but it would make sense for only sizable, non-frontline ships to have a Cetacean Ops.

That being said...if the Catacean Ops *does* have something to do with navigation, then Voyager's original mission (finding the Marquis ship in the Badlands) then I imagine Voyager would have profited from a Catacean Ops.

It's apparently not so unlikely that there were Cetaceans as a part of Voyager's crew members, according to this article from startrek.com:

But "many" Starfleet Vessels doesn't exactly make dolphin crewmembers of Voyager "likely". Considering how many ships Starfleet has, there'd still be enough without them.

Also...where would they have been during Caretaker? Can't exactly have them lie around in that reproduction of "rural America"
