Did Paulo know who Ben was?

Something I didn't realise until just now that when we saw Paulo and Nikki's flashbacks there was one where Paulo went to the Pearl station before Locke ever discovered it and there we see that he discovers Ben and Juliet for the first time. Is it ever known or implied that Paulo knew that Henry Gale was really Ben at the time he was being held in the Swan station or did Paulo never see him?

I guess that even if he did see him he probably wouldn't say anything that could implicate him in front of Nikki as he was keeping things from her at the time but you'd imagine that he'd have had some sort of recognition of Ben if he did see him.

I think their own personal problems were foremost on their minds. To paraphrase Ana-Lucia, Nikki and Paulo were a little too busy worrying about Paulo and Nikki.
