Did Kes appear in recent Star Trek novels or comics that have been released in the past 10 years?

Good question!

Sadly I cannot answer it as I only read Star Trek novels about the original Star Trek crew.

I know a person who may have the answer to that question. @Lynx!!! He has interesting knowledge of this beloved character and he will enlighten you with possibilities everything you could imagine about her. If there isn't an ending or evolution of the character, it doesn't mean you or the publishing couldn't write a novel about her further adventures. I know I'd be open to reading it.

She's not in much.
There's a short story (Restoration) in Strange New Worlds V, and a novel called Evolution. (String Theory volume 3)
The two stories are a little at odds with each other, but Evolution is closer to the happy ending you asked about.

Did Kes have a happy ending after her appear in Fury?

Memory Beta covers real canon + novel canon.

Although, this is how I see it.

The Ocampa resorted to cannibalism after 5 years when their city ran out of power. Dozens of Ocampa rose to the surface and where disintegrated by the Kazon. Then thousands rose to the surface and they over ran the Kazon, and then millions of Ocampa rose to the Surface, they took the Kazon Ships to space, and dominated Kazon Space, and then Vidiian Space, and then the rest, until an Ocampan Flag flew strong over the limits of the Delta Quadrant.

Thank you for your answer Tosk. I did message Lynx. Will be interesting to see if he replies.
I haven't got your message yet but just like Superman, I show up when I'm called for!
The Great Lynx is here for your enlightment and for the sake of Kes! :techman:

OK, that was an outburst of my twisted sense of humor.
Now I will try to answer your questions the best I can.

There is very little about Kes written in books after her departure and unfortunately no "happy ending" in any of the books in which she's mentioned.

Unfortunately, most writers seem very slave to "canon" and doesn't seem to be able to write outside those limits.

Most of the writers seem obsessed with having Kes in any form or another being sent back to a planet which she actually did choose to leave once and had no intention to return to.

Or simply remain the monster she was made in a horrible episode in season 6.

There are three books called String Theory Trilogy and one of those books, Evolution has at least a decent try to do away with the damage made to the character in that episode in season 6. However, I must admit that the story is a bit heavy read.

There was also another trilogy written before the String Theory books. It was called Dark Matter Trilogy and Kes appears briefly as some sort of spiritual being.

More information about Kes after Voyager on this Memory Beta site.

I would actually recommend a visit to The Kes Website were a lot of information, both "canon" and "non-canon" can be found.

Plus some other funny and interesting things as well.

If you're out for a "happy ending", there are a few stories whih you may like.

Feel free to visit the website and if you have more questions, I'll be happy to answer them.

Anytime, since you've made me see more of that character than I thought could be possible. It was a little confusing to read @Kristine gave thanks to Tosk when I was the one who posted my thoughts about you and your rich Kes knowledge??? All in all I'm game for any sort of thread about Kes because she's a character who never be forgotten.

Thank you everyone for your input about Kes. And thank you for your opinions are well Stephon. I hope I didn't offend you or anyone else. I also hope one day someone write a comic or novel about her that has a happy ending.

There is a story at The Kes Website which has a "happy ending".
It's called "Coming Home".
The best Voyager episode never made.
:)

Kes appears in the 2012 post-TV series novel The Eternal Tide by Kirsten Beyer. Kes has a small but important role in the book, and her character does get some small amount of closure.

I couldn’t resist digging through the old Voyager books I have because I’m a big Kes fan and really wanted her character to return in the books.

Beyer’s Voyager novels are quite highly regarded and well worth reading.

There are some great Voyager books, written during seasons 1-3 where Kes has an important role, most notable in "Chrysalis", "Mosaic", "The Black Shore" and "Marooned".

See the book reviews at the Kes Website for further information.

Yes!!!!!!!

Baxk to the topic, no, she’s not around much. We have absolutely no clue what happened to her even in novels between when she left in Season 04 to when she retrieved in Season 06. Hopefully, we will have answers one day.

Btw, I always thought that Kes killed B’Elanna in “Fury” not because she was trying to stop Kes’ interface with the warp core, but because Kes hated B’Elanna because her living prevented the timeline in which Kes had Linnis and Andrew in her life.

I don't think that would fit the Kes character, holding such grudges that would be caused by 'fault' of the other person (B' Elanna) not dying when they 'should have'. Well, I suppose it might fit the Fury timeline Kes version, but I consider the entire episode an abomination to begin with.
