Did a Ship Ever Dock on the Lower Pylons?

I can think of two episodes off the top of my head - 'Emissary' (the Oberth ship that broguth Jadzia & Bashir to the station) and 'Ties of Blood & Water' (the Jem'Hadar ship that Dukat & Weyoun brought to the station).

Serendipitously, last night I started rewatching DS9 from where I'd left off months ago, and was on the disc with Second Sight on it, so was able to quickly check myself. I believe the opening has a nice shot from above DS9 looking down at the Prometheus as well.

Also, in "Explorers", a repeat of that shot was used to mark the docking of the Lexington.

In "A Time to Stand" we saw a Galor docked to the lower pylons.

"Sacrifice of Angels" we saw a Jem'Hadar battle cruiser docked to the lower pylons.

I'm guessing that we most often saw ships docked at the upper pylons because that made for a more dramatic view of DS9. If a camera shot of the station was from above, a ship docked on the lower pylons would have been awkwardly obscured.

^ Really? I had the opposite reaction. I liked the colour, it made it seem more alien than just your typical grey.

Oh man... TNG's Birthright Part I was on last night and I was admiring the Enterprise-D docked at the station (upper pylon ;)). It's such a great image and unfortunately, on the non HD transfer... it's not very crisp.

Just that it would make great wallpaper.

...It's a bit weird how starships of supposedly identical size look so wildly dissimilar when docking with DS9:

Especially since there's that rescaling thing going on with the station already: the Promenade windows and Runabout hatches were built to a certain scale, and then the decision was made to photograph the station as being twice as large as those scale-establishing features would suggest. And even at that size, the Galaxies and Nebulas docking there are way too small!

Instead of this correct size relationship,

the runabouts now appear to be half the length of a Galaxy nacelle...

But if they had kept the "correct" scale, we would never have seen those grand ships docking with the pylons, because they wouldn't have fitted between those. Unless they parked vertically, which would have been impressive as hell!

I prefer the image of the E-D docked at the station in DS9 'Emissary', since it has Bajor in the background. Its pretty, and I've used it for a wallpaper, too.
