Destiny Trilogy: Required Previous Readings?

I read Destiny before the Titan series. Though it revealed some things to me ahead of time, my Titan experienced wasn't ruined or even hurt by it.

I thoroughly enjoyed Destiny with only having read Taking Wing from the Titan series and up to Twilight in the DS9 relaunch. It does a pretty good job of reintroducing characters.

I would have found the one thing revealed to be something I did not want to know before I read about it in Titan proper. So if you don't like a really big thing spoiled, read Titan first.
