Deserted Island Trek

D

David's Planet

I'm really new here so I apologize if this is something that's been done to death but I always think it's fun!

If you were stranded on a deserted island (or planet), what Star Trek character would you want to be deserted with the most?

Personally, I'd probably go with Data. For several reasons, but mostly because I love the guy. However, for survival I'd imagine Worf would be great. For company, I bet Riker would be pretty fun.

Any series is fine. I just happen to be a TNG nut. Also, the idea is that you are staying there and have to spend the rest of your life with this person. So Q can't rescue you and must remain on the island with you and his powers have been severely deflated.

If I were on a desert island then I'd be looking for the most useful person in that situation.
Now Data would appear to be the most useful: he is tough and he has access to a wide range of knowledge. The added advantage is that Data would outsurvive me - there would be little danger that I'm going to be left on my own for years. Of course that would depend on how much of Data's knowledge is stored on Data rather than is accessed on, say, the Enterprise mainframe. If that knowledge were inaccessible then someone who is used to surviving in tough conditions and of improvising low-tech solutions might be a better bet. In that case, I'd want Major Kira.

(I look at my answer and realise this is why I can't take part in games. I take everything WAY too seriously...)

Edit to correct spelling.

I agree with the utility and “logic” of choosing Data, but, knowing my personality, I would also want and need emotional/“touch-interactive” company, as well, mixed with safety and protection.
Acknowledging Data’s strength and longevity, paired with his Full Functionality and Multiple Technique repertoire, I would choose Tasha.
Smart, strong, security-savvy and she would clearly (?) be interested in the likes of me!

Kathryn Janeway. As Star Trek's ultimate cult mistress, she'll have oodles of rescuers eagerly combing the cosmos for her. Yes, with Data, I'd have a fire roaring and a coconut, seaweed, and salmon dinner within twelve hours... but with Janeway, we'd be on a posh shuttlecraft headed for Earth within six.

Kira. She can survive in the wilderness, she can fight off most threats, she can pray to prophets who actually listen and respond, and she can tell stories.

Or, at least, Great Coffee!!!:techman:

I just hope I find the person attractive :adore: and witty/funny in a Rom-Com way. For me, Ezri Dax or Helen Noel are my choices.
