Denied the Keys Of Marinus....

So I'm in Fry's the day after Christmas, perusing classic Who, looking for some fifth Doctor stuff as I have less of him than any other Doc and what do I see? One copy of The Keys Of Marinus on the shelf, thinking "Whoa a new Hartnell ep is out!!" followed by "Wait....wasn't this supposed to come out in early January? Fuck it...I'm gettin' it now!"

I'm thinking "how sweet is this? I got "Tomb Of The Cybermen" for christmas, and now a new Hartnell adventure as well, all is well with the world!"

Then, tradgedy....as the clerk tried to scan the DVD she was having problems, then mentioned to herself that it looks like it's not out yet. She calls a manager over who looks into it and finally tells me that this DVD shouldn't have been on the shell, and what it's release date really is, apologizes and says they can reserve a copy for the 5th. Me being from out of town declines and leaves with my one purchase (a game).

Ah well, at least they have four Fry's in this town....so I'm off on a quest to find more fifth doctor stuff.

Well, at least you only have to wait until the 5th to get them. The Doctor and his companions had to travel all over the place, overcome all kinds of obstacles and nearly got killed getting the Keys. I say you have it easy.

Interesting - I saw a copy of this for sale at HMV today as well (Didn't bother buying it as I prefer to import it from the UK).

Since I'm not keeping track of them I just assumed it was out - how odd that two places have it for sale!
