So next month should see the release of the updated version of Defiance, Defiance 2050 on PC, PS4 and Xbox One.
I was fairly late to the party for the old one, only started playing a few months ago - and got instantly hooked, despite the occasional glitches (yes I'm looking at you enemies who can shoot me before you've totally spawned in).
It's starting small, rehashing the start of the original, but they do intend expanding content beyond what they did with the last one. The problem is that many players seem to be enraged that you have to start the entire game from scratch, which I can't quite get. Yeah, I can understand on PC, but whenever any game is upgraded to the new console generation, you always have to start again from scratch. If I had Resident Evil 6 on the PS4, I wouldn't be able to use my PS3 save-file and continue from there. It also doesn't help the case that they are completely rebuilding the EGO system of powers and perks, and actually having classes that will effect interaction with the various EGO powers.
So if there are any current Defiance players out there, or those who don't play but may think of giving it a shot, what are your opinions on this?
