Deception (Hugh Jackman, Ewan McGregor) opens today 4/25.

Anyone going to see this? Anyone even heard of it? For a big studio movie with name actors, there was sure little fanfare and advertising leading up to it. It probably didn't help that the name of the movie kept changing. Was it even screened for critics?

I've heard a little about it. Sounds like a stinker the studio hopes will sink with a minimum of embarrassment to all concerned.

Some funny reviews at Rotten Tomatoes, tho...

Is there anything more boring than watching $20 million being electronically transferred to an offshore bank account? Maybe it's someone repeatedly barking 'You have no idea what I'm capable of!' into a cellphone.

Kept on the quiet over here too - just posters, little other press. Trailer makes it seem bearable though so it's on my list of possible films to see.

It's getting terrible reviews. I though Hugh Jackman picked better projects than this.

This is one of the reasons I don't read reviews anymore.....especially that moron that does the reviews in People magazine. Pretty much with her, if she says it's terrible, I know I'll like it and vice versa.

I absolutely adore Hugh Jackman so I'm there. I also really like Ewan McGregor.

I never, EVER take reviews into account when picking movies.

My wife and I saw Deception on Friday when it opened. We went because we both love Hugh & Ewan and thought it would be a good movie. The fact is, the movie is awful. The script is completely predectible but when that happens you can get solace in great performances. It seams both Ewan and Hugh sleep walk through this movie, it looks rushed and like the director didn't really know what he was doing. If you want to see this, wait for video or catch it on HBO or Cinemax.
