Dec. Contest Ideas...

Well I'm going to jump the official announcement and solicit some feedback on ideas for this month's challenge. I know a holiday theme is the default choice, but in case that is getting too forced a thing I'm going to offer one holiday choice and one decidedly non-holiday one lol! Both have the kind of latitude for type and spirit of entries I prefer...

Ideas:

The Perfect Gift -- in the spirit of the holiday, just what it says... The Trek version of the fabled 'perfect gift' for you, all trekfen, or a character perhaps? Interpret as you see fit, serious or silly, moving or ironic...

OR

Assimilate This! -- All things Borgified! Give a view of the Borg or their tech from any era, even before official contact -- a Borgified version of your favorite character perhaps, a vessel, a famous scene Borged... I think it has great possibilities done either straight or for laughs. Given that the Borg provide the Trek element I'd even be willing to allow Borgified version of other shows or movies, or holiday Borg pics if you want to have your fruitcake and eat it too...

Steampunk Borg would be cool--the early costumes looked rather steampunk to begin with.

Both are good. I voted for the Borg, tough. I'm taken with the idea of an early Borg and what it'd look like.

I might actually enter this time with a hand-drawn piece of my own... I voted for the Gift one, as I think it would be EXCELLENT to draw, but I could possibly do Borg too.

Well I voted for the Borg so everyone else is evenly split lol... I'll decide by tonight but I think I'm leaning toward the Borg option.
