Sigh Fy's at it again...

New York, NY – June 24, 2010 – 1980s pop singing sensations Debbie Gibson and Tiffany will bury their pop princess rivalry to co-star in the new ripped-from-the-headlines Syfy Saturday Original Movie, Mega Python Vs Gatoroid, which will go into production later this month for a scheduled 2011 release.
In Mega Python Vs Gatoroid, there’s a crisis in the Florida Everglades as giant pythons are threatening the alligator population. Gibson portrays a fanatical animal rights advocate who frees illegally imported exotic snakes from pet stores, sending them into the Everglades where the pythons become mega-sized.
Tiffany plays an over-zealous park ranger worried about the growing ecological damage. To save her beloved alligators, she employs dangerous methods, setting off a war between the species – and putting her on a collision course with Gibson.

Can they get Richard Greico for the male lead?
 
I just hope there'll be a double feature of Gatorid & Sharktopus with a little bit of Mega Piranha thrown in.

Once again, this is not a made by SyFy movie. They're just going to be the first station to air it.

And since it's from The Asylum, Richard Grecio might be out of their price range. They're already paying for both Debbie Gibson and Tiffany, they may not be able to afford to bring in their mainstays Lorenzo Lamas or C. Thomas Howell. Now Cory Hart or Gerardo on the other hand... :p

With a Title like that, I'm surprised it's not an official Syfy $1.98 production.
 
^^ I don't know, but after seeing her in Megapiranha I think those days are behind her. Debbie Gibson, on the other hand, is still pretty hot.

I wonder if they will reprise their characters from the previous movies.
 
oops... I just looked it up. Tiffany did pose for Playboy au natural, and a couple of years later so did Ms. Gibson
 
Hmm, I guess I forgot about Tiffany. I do remember Debbie Gibson being in there, though.
