Death Wish

Illogical

Cadet
Newbie
Hey guys, I'm new here

I always wanted to watch all of Star Trek in order ....

Got Netflix and did all of them, Original series, TNG, DS9 ... kind of stalling on Voyager.

Just watched Death Wish with the Q who wants to kill himself.

I can't help it but I always see continuity errors that bug me.

This episode has suicidal Q trapped for 300 years.

So he wasn't around for anything that happened in TNG

How does he then say that he was inspired by the main Q for all the stuff he did in TNG?

???

Maybe it was a space anomoly

Did he reference TNG?

I always assumed he was referring to Q dicking about for thousands and thousands of years. Time is hard to judge with Q. 300 years is probably like a few minutes

Time in the Continuum is not like Earth time. The Q can manipulate time as they wish.

I just finished watching the podcast of Mulgrew's appearance at the Free Library of Philadelphia. Someone asked her which was her favorite Voyager episode. She said Death Wish. She liked how Janeway came to the realization that Q had a right to end his life. She also said that she liked Counterpoint.

I agree with hux.

IIRC, Guinan's experience with Q predated TNG, so the dude's obviously been a pain in the universe's collective (no pun intended) behind for a long time.

Q could have been toying with Picard a thousand years ago from Q's perspective.

And then, a thousand years later, gone back/forward/sideways in time to visit Janeway.
