"DEADLOCK", A Great Example...

Farscape One

I recently rewatched "DEADLOCK", and while I always loved this episode, I was impressed even more now, years after the last time I have seen it.

The episode was tense and suspenseful from start to finish. This was an excellent example of how the series could be great during the early years.

One thing that always stuck out was the length of the teaser... I'm pretty certain it's the longest in the entire franchise until an episode of DISCOVERY last season. I thought it was a good idea, actually... lay all the groundwork for the episode in the teaser, no matter how long it takes, to keep the pace of the rest in high gear.

My only wish was that the damage the ship took wasn't fixed so quickly... even one more episode of showing some repair work in the background and a line or two would have been fine. This was, in the end, one of the biggest issues of this series. And ironically, this episode highlighted the issue.

Very good episode.

That scene where the EMH asks Harry 2.0 whether the alternate universe Doctor had a name was kind of odd though.
