DC & WB Movies v TV?

It seems the DC/Warner Brothers comic universes will be separate with cinema & TV. The frustrating part is with Supergirl on TV & Nightwing(Teen Titans) potentially coming - Why no TV Superman or Batman? Gotham Bruce may count but if TV & the movies are separate I don't get what is going on. There shouldn't be an embargo like with SMALLVILLE???

ETA: There will be a different TV & movie Flash???

Yeah, I've been wondering about the same thing. Like I said in one of the DC TV show threads, I would love to see what the Arrow/Flash people would do with Batman.

I actually think they could get Arrow & the MoS universe to work if it wasn't for ego at the studio. They could film a few minutes with Cavill or Affleck and the TV guys like Amell and be okay. Just fanwhatevering!

Batman and Superman are considered the big guns of DC. i guess they want to save those for feature films. i do think its a bit frustrating that the films won't like up with the current tv shows.

i thought i read somewhere that one of the actors from The Perks of Being a Wallflower had been cast as movie Flash.

The future of the DCCU rests on BvS being a huge hit, with enough goodwill to power the rest of the slate until Justice League. As such, neither Supes nor (adult) Bats will be coming back to the screen anytime soon, period: too much risk for too little reward.

I would love to see what the Arrow/Flash people would do with Batman.
With Ollie, they've got a billionaire dark avenger who's better, as in more interesting, than Batman. Bruce Wayne lost his innocence as a child; he was far from fully formed when he got his proverbial call to destiny, and thus there is really nothing to the character apart from Batman in anything I've seen so far. Oliver, however, was a man (albeit a young and callow one) before his personal tragedy/call to destiny struck. Unlike Bruce, he knows and remembers what he's lost...
