DC Cinematic Universe ( The James Gunn era)

We'll see how much has been changed, but in the comic saving Krypto is just the excuse to get Kara involved in the plot. What the story is actually about is Kara saving Ruthye from herself.

Superman also really wasn't about saving Krypto, either.
Superman saving Krypto was just the second act. While the third act was about Krypto saving Superman. It's almost like the movie had some kind of it's-okay-to-rely-on-each-other theme or something.

It was more the other way around. Krypto was a bad dog, but was a really good boy when it counted.

I'm confused is the Batman movie Knightfall or Nightfall? The logo says Knightfall, which was the name of the comic storyline, but the article kept calling it Nightfall.

Clearly a repeated mistake in the article. More and more entertainment news sites, even of once legitimate sources like Variety, are just lazy. With little proof reading before posting. That was either because automated spell check was used which does not know Knightfall is the title or.... shudder.... AI wrote the whole damn thing. Would not surprise me. Someone entered some basic facts and program wrote the actual article.

Yeah, it continually frustrated me the level of laziness occurs at sites like io9 where even the most basic cursory glance over an article would catch mistakes. And they never ever correct them even after they're pointed out.

OK, I honestly assumed a site like Variety wouldn't just make a mistake like that.

With an introduction by DC Studios to set the stage and an afterword by DC Comics’ Jim Lee, learn how Kara Zor-El came to take her inaugural solo flight in the DC Universe.
Love the cover’s renditions of both the comic and movie versions of Kara and Ruthye. :luvlove:

To be honest, the art was my least favorite part of Woman of Tomorrow. Not a style I could get into at all, though I respect the intricacy of it.

re: the title Lanterns

My first thought was that maybe there'll be other colored Lanterns besides Green Lanterns. You know, Yellow Lanterns, Red Lanterns, Blue Lanterns, maybe even all seven Lantern Corps.

Regardless, the charge that the word Green was not selected to participate in the title for reasons to do with embarrassment or incompetence seems to be based on assumptions whose foundations have not been established.

James Gunn is down to the last few contenders to play Maxima in Man of Tomorrow

He's probably already chosen Adria and doesn't want to make it too obvious.

It IS nice he's not chickening out and going for some A-Lister and is fine trying for a more open casting.
