DC announces Retro-Active

At the DC Nation Panel at Wondercon, it was announced that a series of one-shots will be released in July and August celebrating the earlier decades of six major DC heroes; a creative team that was active on one of the characters in the 70s, 80s and 90s respectively will each produce a new story that takes place in their era:

Personally, I'm really looking forward to the Batman stories by Barr/Davis and Grant/Breyfogle, two of my favourite creative teams who had runs on the character.

I'd be happier if it were all new material, and not a 50/50 new/reprint deal.

If Grant and Breyfogle reteam for a new Batman story and Louise Simonson and Jon Bogdanove for a new Superman story, that would be fantastic, and might take some of the sting off of the reprint material.
