Days Gone should stay gone.

I was really excited about this game and now that I have it I'm like, "This isn't all that great."

It feels like it could be so much better than it is and the long wait for it was a waste of time.

Pretty much it is repetitous, doing practically the same missions over and over - chase/kill this person, clear out some nests/ripper camps, etc.

The leveling up system is ok, but it takes awhile to get enough XP to get good weapons depending on which camp you chose to level up. I pretty much ignore my guns and use melee weapons most of the time. You start off with a buck knife that does low damage, but I found out it takes around 11 hits to kill the infected with it so I use it all the time along with the "roll" button and manage to kill multiple infected with just this knife.

It is open world, but some areas are closed off until the game progresses. What I don't like about the mini map, though, is you are riding along on your motorcycle and you see a pulsating question mark showing a new location you can investigate. Well I ride in the direction of the question mark and it suddenly disappears off the mini map and I open the big map and it is not there and I then ride some more and don't come upon anything that the question mark represented, thus wasting gas in the process.

The infected are pretty fun and easy to kill with the exception of some of the more powerful ones (Hint: If you haven't played it yet, make sure you are at full health, ammo and have good weapons when you get to the downed airplane mission.)

The story is interesting though and that is mainly why I kept playing it to see what was the big mystery.

The best part of the game are the swarms of infected. I pretty much ran around looking for them just to see how many I could kill. They are easy to defeat if you recon the area you are in and find spots they can't get to you at such as hiding in dumpsters and radio towers (They can climb some ladders, but for some reason they can't climb these ladders). Swarms also help with missions. I had a mission to clear out a camp of bad guys and there was a swarm nearby so all I did was fire off a few shots and the swarm moved in and killed everybody in the camp for me.

Overall it is an ok game, but nothing worth $60 bucks in my opinion. I have read that people compared it to The Last Of Us, no, it is nowhere on the same level as that game. If you are really interested in it I advise waiting and getting it cheap.

Sure is. The Las of Us had an engaging, interesting story that kept my interest. Days Gone is just boring. I was mildly surprised when it came to his wife because what I thought happened didn't, but other than that it was not worth $60.

I'm playing it now and am enjoying it,I've never played 'last of us'. I've never had to worry about Petrol in a game before.

I've never had to worry about Petrol in a game before.

That alone puts me off. Anything like that in a game is generally poorly implemented because the resource seems to last a fraction of the time that it would on the real world. It's like survival games where you need to drink and eat about 5 times a day.

It's a good feature, but fails for the exact reason you state. What kind of bike can't get 2 KM on a full tank of petrol? Good idea but poorly executed.

The bike does burn through gas a lot quicker than it should, but gas is readily available at all encampments. So, you're not really having to scavenge too hard :)

You should correct that as soon as possible, The Last of Us is amazing. It's one of my all time favorite games, movies, or TV shows.

I've tried it twice and don't get too far into it before I get bored and turn it off. Maybe third time will be the charm :)
