Anyone else?
I truly thought he'd be the next villain after the Joker. I thought Nolan could take the character in so many different directions. There's just so much potential for an intellectual Riddler to be incorporated into the dark realism of Nolan's Gotham.
The Bane concept just isn't doing it for me. The previews seem ok, but I'm already getting a sense of disappointment. And after the last one, I knew right away the third installment would have to be great to measure up. I guess a lot will hinge on Catwoman as well, but already it just seems a little...off. My expectations have been lowered.
Hope I'm wrong, and I hope we get another great addition to Batman. But I just really had my hopes up to see an awesome new take on the Riddler.
